Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn was born in America. She is an actress who has been working professionally for over 27 years. Gifted thespian, she is active in the professional world since the past 27. Her first appearance on stage in a 1990 production of The Big Funk (John Patrick Shanley) Off-Broadway. A year later she was cast in her first television role, The Perfect Tribute. In 1992, when she was a supporting character in Basic Instinct the film, her career started to take off. Then, in The Firm, she played the leading female character for the very first time. She was cast opposite Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. Through the 1990s her career included working alongside top Hollywood stars such as Gwyneth as in Sliding Doors, Hugh Grant Mickey Blue Eyes, and Julie Andrews Relative Values. In recent times, she played Dr. Alex Blake (a police procedural-crime drama) in Criminal Minds.
