Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style which combines R&B with soul, gospel music and R&B. Avery Sunshine's performances have been on Broadway and at festivals in Europe as well as performing at Democratic National Convention. Sunshine is the daughter of Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta but she is from Chester Pennsylvania where she began the musical path by singing and playing the piano in the church. After graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on the Atlanta's R&B musical scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was Stalk You A house 12 released exclusively in Japan; it has since been remixed by a variety of producers and has become an essential part in her live show. She also lent her voice to the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. In 2005, she was commissioned as the lead keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 to serve as the director of chorus for Dreamgirls which was a stage production in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine became famous during the four daily performances in The 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later invited to sing at Barack Obama's 2009 Inauguration.
